Raw Cherry Crisp With Chia and Dates

Raw Cherry Crisp With Chia and Dates

They were so grand and ripe that I remembered I needed to use them in a unique, summertime sweet. This crumble, which highlights a new topping that’s imbued with a couple of superfoods (almonds, cherries, chia), is simple, expeditious, and makes a lovely portrayal. I think it makes a uniquely elegant presentation in single-serving ramekins or dishes. Fresh cherries get a delicious topping made from dates, almonds, and nutritious chia seeds. This Raw Cherry Crisp With Chia and Date is an excellent refreshing dessert, yet it is wholesome sufficient to serve for meals.

Whereas date-heavy, no-bake outsides lead to be thick and gooey, cherries + chilling present this outside a crunchy taste that’s nostalgic of a baked version. It’s also healthy, which is an essential quality since it’s taking the power of all that refined cherry-chia mixture.

It’s stuffed with sweet season cherries (although you can use softened stiffened to withdraw pitting the cherries). To prepare it, you’ll combine cherries, a touch of water, and real maple syrup to a pan, return it to a boil and simmer until the cherries start to crumble down into a sauce. Then, whisk in a couple of tablespoons of chia seeds and let it chill. As it relaxes, the chia seeds go their charm to harden the filling.
